XYZ Ltd. are looking for a Senior Optoelectronics Engineer/Scientist experienced with electronics, mechanical design, optoelectronics and control systems.

Our client is an early-stage company which is now in its product development phase. Involved with revolutionary, new, high-precision, technology, their products are in both wired and wireless communications.

A suitable candidate for the role would have a background in optical design content such as physics, optoelectronics or electronics and be an expert in optic and optoelectronics design.

Experience in a broad range of optical system design and analysis including semiconductor lasers, fibre lasers, detectors, speciality fibres, optical amplifiers (EDFA).
Expert in the use of relevant analytical modelling software such as MatLab.
Familiar with leading edge optical component capability and technology trends.
Good understanding of both the theory and operation of passive mode locked lasers.
Experience in the generation and control of optical combs.
Self motivated with the capability to develop a concept through to a product.
Demonstrate excellent general engineering skills.
