JobManager Instructions

Job Manager is the perfect human resource content management solution for updating and editing job postings on your website. It's so quick and easy, you'll never have to make tedious HTML changes to update your job postings again - job manager does it all for you.

How do I use Job Manager?

Follow these very simple steps:

Manage Contacts

First add your own email and phone number as a Contact by using the Contacts manager. Just choose 'Contacts' and then 'Create new'.

Manage Contract Types

This is so you can modify the things in the drop-down list/menu like 'Permanent', 'Temporary' and add things like 'Contract', or whatever you desire. This also forms part of the search criteria later.

Manage Job Categories

Then check that there is a suitable category for the job vacancy you intend to add to the list. If there isn't you should create one by clicking 'Create new'. Type the name of the new category and press 'Create'.

Manage Jobs

Finally add new vacancies to the website as you get them with ease. Just choose 'Vacancies' and then 'Create new'. You must enter a contact for the vacancy and you can assign a vacancy to more than one category if desired.

The details you type will become live on the website the moment you submit them - unless you choose to suspend the job by selecting the 'visible' option. Vacancies can be suspended or made live at any time by choosing 'Edit' for the job in question. This saves you from having to re-key the info when you need to temporarily remove a vacancy.

Searching

Finally, you can check which vacancies you have on the system at any time by searching. Suspended vacancies will show up too when you are in the admin section so you can edit them and make them live.

You can search by Category, Job Type, Skills/Jobtitle or Contact. You can also search for the most recent jobs. Just leave the fields blank before clicking 'Search' to display a complete list of all jobs.

Extra Features

With the 'Email a Friend' feature, people browsing the site are encouraged to spread the word about an opening which may not be suitable for them but is ideal for someone else.

Because the sytem is data driven, a Printer Friendly Version' is available for each job profile so that users can get a good quality hard copy of all of the essential information to take with them.
